Replacement Car Appeal for Henna

Ballynahinch Congregational

Our Church has been supporting Henna Singson since he came to The Irish Baptist Bible College as a mature student from Churachandpur in the state of Manipur, Northeast India in September 2006. During his time in college, he was with us for Church placement from October 2007/ May 2008. After graduating in May 2008 he returned home and set up Lydia Book Ministries to commence producing Bible help commentaries in the Thadu language for use in Evangelical Organizational Churches adult Sunday school.

Henna, now an ordained minister is currently the Moderator of the Evangelical Organizational Churches in his area. He is also responsible for teaching Seminars for pastors. Subjects include Evangelism, Discipleship, Membership, Leadership & Multiplication.

This involves quite a lot of travelling. As Henna’s previous car, gifted by Jim & Joyce Bell (from our congregation) some years ago was no longer useable. Henna asked if we could help finance a replacement second hand vehicle for his work.

Henna is now the proud owner of a Suzuki Swift 5 door hatch. He is deeply appreciative of the generosity of The Trustees, Deacons & congregation of our Church.

Please pray for Henna’s safety as he travels within Manipur. There has been ethnic unrest in the area since May 2023, many Christians have lost their lives and almost 400 churches have been burned down. Many survivors now live in refugee camps.
