It was good to welcome Drumlough girl Ruth Nelson, who is working with CEF Europe, to our Midweek Meeting.
Ruth shared how although she was brought up in a Christian home, in her teenage years she did not have much contact with other Christian young people because of her shy disposition.
The Lord spoke to her through a number of tragic sudden deaths of young people but it was after the death of her Grandmother that she committed her life to Christ.
Ruth’s interests and qualifications are in Computer Programming and Art & Design and after completing 2 years in New Tribes Mission college she was approached by CEF Europe to look after existing websites and help CEF develop other websites to bring information and training to more people who will be encouraged to reach many more children with the Gospel.
It was challenging to hear how digital technology is being used to reach into 44 countries across Europe. Ruth is part of a small European team developing this new work. The CEF Europe IT Department (www.cefeurope.org) have already set up 4 websites
www.cefeuropetraining.org (Training)
www.everychildineurope.com (Projects)
www.wondersurf.com (Children)
www.teachkids.eu (Resources)
Ruth is currently working setting up an online Bible correspondence course in English. It is hoped that other countries will want to translate it and use it too.
She is also redesigning the Teach Kids websites.
The Wondersurf Kids website has become very popular and is being used in 18 countries.
Please pray for Ruth as she continues to develop this new and exciting branch of CEF Europe.
